Jose Vidro slammed 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI and Miguel Batista allowed Rick
Graves to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game at the ballpark as the
Chainsaw Proctologists beat the Burbank Tigers 9 to 2.
Vidro enjoyed a great day at the plate. He lashed a single resulting in a run
in the 1st inning, cleared the fences for a two-run home run in the 7th
inning and lifted one out of the park for a two run home run (his 9th of the
season) in the 8th inning. Chainsaw banged out 14 on the afternoon.
The victory was credited to Batista(3-4) who went the distance, allowing 2
runs. Scott Elarton(0-5) was hit with the loss. He got hit pretty hard,
allowing 9 hits and 5 walks in 6 and 1/3 innings.
'I felt great out there today' Vidro said. 'I was seeing the ball perfectly,
and I was right on it with my swing.
